Cargo throughput (Apr-23 to Feb-24)

Cochin Port registered a throughput of 32.94 MMT in 2023-24 (Apr-Feb), a growth of 5.03% over the corresponding period of 2022-23. POL throughput registered 20.95 MMT and Container throughput 6.79 Lakh TEUs in 2023-24 (Apr-Feb), a growth of 7.72% and 7.09% respectively over 2022-23. 

ICTT Vallarpadam handled the highest ever monthly volume of 75,141 TEUs in February, 2024, aided by a few ad hoc ship calls due to disruptions elsewhere. Impressively, the new record is set in a month of only 29 days, surpassing the previous record of 71,543 TEUs, set in January, 2021.
