Dear Maritime Partners,
The financial year 2025–26 has been another year of steady progress and operational excellence for Cochin Port Authority. Despite a dynamic global trade environment, the Port continued to strengthen its position as one of India's most resilient and strategically located maritime gateways.
During the year, Cochin Port handled an all-time high cargo throughput of 38.06 million metric tonnes, registering overall growth over the previous year. This performance was driven by sustained growth in liquid bulk cargo, particularly Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants (POL), LNG, cement, fertilizers and bunkering activities, reaffirming the Port's diversified cargo profile and operational strength. Operational efficiency also improved with reduced vessel turnaround time and enhanced berth productivity, reflecting our continuous focus on service excellence.
The year also witnessed significant progress in infrastructure development. Several strategic projects aimed at capacity enhancement, digital transformation, modernisation of marine infrastructure, green initiatives and cruise tourism were taken forward. Capital investments in berth modernisation, dredging, Integrated Command and Control Centre, gate automation and green technologies will further position Cochin Port as a future-ready maritime hub.
Sustainability remains integral to our growth strategy. Our initiatives towards electrification, shore power connectivity, energy-efficient infrastructure and environmentally responsible port operations reflect our commitment to supporting India's Green Port Initiatives and Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047.
Beyond cargo operations, Cochin Port continues to contribute to regional economic development through cruise tourism, fisheries infrastructure modernisation, land monetization and logistics development, creating new opportunities for trade, investment and employment.
These achievements would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, our valued stakeholders, shipping lines, trade associations, employees and all our maritime stakeholders.
As we move forward, Cochin Port Authority remains committed to enhancing efficiency, increasing capacity, embracing innovation and delivering efficient and reliable maritime services while contributing to India's economic growth.
