Inauguration of Vigilance Awareness Week 2021
The Vigilance Awareness Week 2021 was inaugurated today in Cochin Port Trust by Dr. M. Beena IAS, Chairperson, Cochin Port Trust by administering the Integrity Pledge in the presence of Shri. K.Rajendran, Chief Vigilance Officer, Capt. Joseph J. Alapat, Dy.Chairman [I/C] and Heads of Departments. The messages of the President, Vice President, Prime Minister and Chief Vigilance Commissioner were read during this occasion by the Heads of the Departments of the Port. This year Vigilance Awareness is dedicated to provide wide publicity about “Complaints under PIDPI (Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers) which is commonly known as Whistle Blowers Protection Act.”
The Integrity Pledge was also taken in the departments/divisional offices. Integrity e-pledge will be taken by employees through the CVC website during the Week. The theme for this year’s Vigilance Awareness Week is ”Independent India @75 Self-Reliance with Integrity”. Essay writing competition for Cochin Port employees and poster designing competition for the children of Cochin Port employees on the theme will be conducted during the Week. Prizes will be distributed to the winners of the competitions on the concluding day by the Chairperson, i.e. 01.11.2021.
