The scope of works under this tender consists of civil, mechanical and   electrical works are detailed hereunder:

  1. a.        Civil works for the following facilities:

a)    Construction of Jetty comprising the following:

(i)        A 220m long and 15m wide Jetty head with open type construction supported on 1000mm dia bored cast-in-situ piles founded at  (-) 60 to  (-)65m CD in the backwaters including fixing of rubber fenders and cast steel bollards. The deck is of RCC beam and slab construction and the beams are combination of pre-cast and cast-in-situ portions.

(ii)      An approach bridge of about 72m length with 10m wide carriage way with open type construction supported on 1000mm dia bored cast-in-situ piles founded at  about  (-)55 to (-)60m CD in the backwaters.  The deck is of RCC beam and slab construction and the beams are combination of pre-cast and cast-in-situ portions.

b)   Construction of a Single Storied building of size 7.8m x 4.5m with mezzanine floor of 2.2m x 4.5m size for Firefighting pump house supported on bored cast-in–situ piles of 1000mm diameter founded at about (-)43m to (-) 50m CD in the backwaters.

  1. b.        Mechanical works which consists of the following:

i)     Design, Supply, Fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of Fixed Fire Fighting Facilities at the Jetty, which consists of Motor driven vertical Turbine pump along with compatible motor, and fire fighting distribution network consisting of 250mm header line and 150mm branching lines leading to Jetty Head.

ii)   Providing and laying pipelines using Galvanised Carbon Steel ERW pipes through ducts provided on both sides of the jetty (lee and sea side) for facilitating compressed air supply with necessary FRL fittings at Jetty head.

  1. c.         Electrical works which consists of the following:

Providing LT supply to Indian Coast Guard Jetty at Fort Kochi and providing electrical facilities for vessels shore supply points, cope points crane supply points, electrical fire fighting water pump motor, lights,   electrification of pump house, auxiliary systems at jetty.

Minimum Qualification Criteria

a)        Experience

            The tenderers should have experience of having successfully completed during the last 7 (seven) years ending 31st March 2018, at least either:

i)     Three similar works each costing not less than Rs. 2777.67 lakhs  

(OR)

ii)    Two similar works each costing not less than Rs. 3472.09 lakhs    

(OR)

iii)  One similar works each costing not less than Rs. 5555.34 lakhs   

 

b)       Financial Turnover

            Average Financial Turnover of the tenderer over the last three financial years ending 31st March of the previous financial year [2014-‘15, 2015-’16 & 2016-‘17] shall not be less than Rs.2083.25 lakhs.

Explanatory notes to a) & b) : 

            Note 1:- Similar work(s) means “Construction of a berth/ jetty/ bridge/ marine structure in sea/ river/ backwater/ marine environment with bored cast in situ pile foundation” 

            Note 2:-   Following enhancement factors will be used for the costs of works executed for bringing the financial figures to a common base value in respect of the works completed in past years.
